Welcome to the world of
Diamond Painting
Create beautiful pictures in stunning colours
No paint, no glue, no mess
So What is Diamond Painting?
Diamond Painting uses technology that breaks down images into patterns sometimes known as 5D. The colours are based on the DMC colour code and the 'diamonds' (known as drills) are 2.5mm in size. Multi-faceted, these small shiny drills are applied to a colour coded sticky canvas to create your DIY work of art.
Relatively new to the UK, this has quickly become a very popular craft project. It requires no specialist equipment or tools, the kits we sell come complete with everything you need to complete these gorgeous pictures in stunning colours.
There are two types of kits available:
Full Drill, where the entire canvas is covered with resin beads
Part Drill, where only the central subject is covered. We state clearly in the details of every kit whether it is full or part drill.
How to Diamond Paint
- Unroll your canvas and place on a solid surface
- Press the tip of the specially designed pen into the wax block (this may need to be repeated from time to time if the pen stops picking up)
- Starting in the top left corner peel back the protective film to expose a smallish area. To avoid contact with the sticky surface it is best to work in small blocks, say 2”x 2” Using the colour guide provided decide which drills (beads) to start with and tip some into the tray provided, give it a gentle shake from side to side
- Using the tip of the pen “Pick up and Plonk” in the correct squares
- Repeat with the next colour until the block is complete then move on, after a few blocks you will begin to see your picture come alive!
